WAMA - National Centre for Environmental Art Development
A $12M cultural investment on 16 hectares at Gariwerd integrates art, nature and sustainability. Delivered the hospitality strategy, operational plan, FF&E schedule and costed fit out, embedding local sourcing and flexible use. The framework launches WAMA as a National Centre for Environmental Art and a benchmark for cultural tourism and environmental engagement.

Dandenong New Art Development
Dandenong New Art is a transformative cultural initiative and a cornerstone of Greater Dandenong’s multicultural arts ecosystem. Located in the heart of Australia’s most culturally diverse community, DNA operates as a dynamic gallery and creative hub. Maytrix delivered a robust business and operations plan and governance framework, integrating commercial activity with program strategy to ensure sustainable operations. The $12 million development features café and retail opportunities, community, creative and workshop spaces, and public art. DNA strengthens the cultural precinct by building participation and establishing Dandenong’s profile as a destination for contemporary art and creative engagement.
Hyphen Gallery Library Redevelopment
Maytrix delivered a comprehensive Commercial and Operations Plan to guide the relaunch of the $12.7M Hyphen Wodonga Gallery Library. This supported the creation of a dynamic, accessible arts and cultural precinct in Wodonga. The strategy integrated gallery and library functions, improved operational and cost efficiencies, and identified new revenue streams and funding opportunities. Maytrix established a sustainable operating framework and future-proofed the model for growth and community engagement. Hyphen now offers flexible programming, public art, digital infrastructure, and educational and cultural experiences for all ages, strengthening Wodonga’s civic and cultural presence.

The Round Whitehorse Redevelopment
The Round, a $214 million redevelopment of the Whitehorse Performing Arts Centre, reframes culture as the centre of community engagement and connection. Maytrix scoped and delivered design for comprehensive kitchens, bars, and conferencing facilities, embedding flexibility and scale from early planning. Engaged over multiple stages, Maytrix co-delivered the Business Plan and Governance framework to relauch The Round. The major performing arts and conference venue stands as a cultural beacon for the region, fostering creativity, sustainability and civic pride.

Music Market Development
Music Market anchors Collingwood Yards as a $22M hub for Victoria’s live music industry, combining co-working, performance and songwriting spaces with sector leadership. Maytrix delivered the business case and operations plan, establishing governance, programming and membership strategies. The precinct delivers space for 43 residents and 116 events, fostering Melbourne’s creative music community.
